Kickboxing Seminar & Blackbelt Grading – October 2010

On Sunday 24^th October 2010, we had the pleasure of welcoming Master Richard ‘Deadly Dicker’ Hopkins to The Fitness Academy for a kickboxing seminar and black belt assessment.

Richard Hopkins has been involved in and teaching martial arts since the 1970’s, and has been the head of WUMA (World United Martial Arts Federation) for the last twenty years.

After a full seminar, the black belt candidates had to endure a grueling 3hrs of physical and mental endurance. Even the toughest and fittest where pushed to and past their limits.

Two instructors from The Fitness Academy, Peter Squire and David Mills were going for first and second Dan grades respectively. They both put in outstanding effort and I’d like to wish them both the very best of luck with regard to their pending results!
