Judo Instructors Course – January 2011

On Sunday 16th January 2011, a selection of the grappling group from The Fitness Academy, travelled down to Sittingbourne in Kent to attend an IBF Judo Instructors Course.

The course was taken by John Clarke (5th Dan) and Collin Carrott (4th Dan), both of whom travelled down to The Fitness Academy in August of last year.

Throughout the day we covered the basics of a lesson, teaching techniques, updated throws and rules and finished off with a practical assessment of teaching randomly selected techniques.

At the end of the day, our group were delighted to hear that we had all passed our respective levels and received our certificates. Well done guys!
