Promotion to Full Instructor – May 2011

On Saturday 7th May 2011, during the latest UK MASDA Grading Graduation in Chelmsford, Essex, after many years of dedicated training, Sifu David Farmer and I were honored to receive the rank of Full Instructor under Guro Laurence Sandum.

The rank of Full Instructor denotes a thorough knowledge of the arts certified (Boxing, Jun Fan Gung Fu, Kali, Kickboxing and Muay Thai), as well as teaching experience, work to further develop the arts and a validation of the individual’s character.

To date, Sifu David and myself are the only two people to reach this prestigious rank under Guro Laurence. By reaching this rank, David and I are now part of a direct lineage of instructors, reaching back to Guro Dan Inosanto, Sijo Bruce Lee and many other world class instructors.
