Taking a couple of hour late lunch break from teaching myself, I popped up the A12 to Laurence Sandum’s Academy in Witham, for one of their regular Wing Chun seminars with Sifu Jim Brault.

As one of the highest ranked instructors under Sifu Francis Fong, I look forward to each and every one of Sifu Jim’s sessions; I know that I’ll walk away from it with some great drills to work, and an update to the way that I think about my Wing Chun, and my martial arts training in general.

The number of people at the seminar was small, so the amount of attention we all received was high. This allowed Sifu Jim to focus on some finer details in the way I connect; both how I connect my own structure, and how I connect to my opponent, to gain maximum leverage and effectiveness.
