After some scheduling issues meant I missed the previous sessions this year, March saw me able to train again with Sifu Jim Brault for the first time in 2016, at Laurence Sandum’s Martial Arts Academy in Witham.

Sifu Jim, both a Black Belt and a Full Instructor in Wing Chun under Sifu Francis Fong, gave yet another outstanding session.

What I always enjoy about Sifu Jim’s teaching style is that he gets the necessary intricacies of Wing Chun across in a manageable and progressive way.

Sifu Jim started the session with some material that I had seen before, adding some great detail. Later in the seminar, Sifu Jim moved onto to the butterfly knife and pole forms from the Wing Chun syllabus.

The seminar left me eager to train more with Sifu Jim. Luckily I won’t have to wait too long, as he returns to Witham for another session in April.
