Another June rolling around means only one thing; it’s time for the annual Master Pedro Sauer camp in Iceland, hosted by PSBJJA affiliate Johann Eyvindsson.

Travelling with a couple of Team Pedro Sauer UK team mates, Peter Squire and Bill Long, and some of our families, we took the short hop from London to Reykjavik.

First thing on the itinerary was Bill successfully testing for his Gracie Jiu Jitsu Blue Belt, directly under Master Sauer.

Saturday saw two awe-inspiring sessions of GJJ with both Master Sauer and 2nd Degree PSBJJA Black Belt, Allan Manganello. With much talk about the philosophy behind Gracie Jiu Jitsu, the relatively short time with both men left me even more excited to up the quality of my game.

A massive thank you to Master Sauer and Allan Manganello for giving their time to pass on some of their knowledge, and to Johann Eyvindsson for making the weekend happen.

As with every time I visit, Halldór Sveinsson did an amazing job of getting us where we all needed to be, when we need to be there. For that, I am extremely thankful!

And finally, a huge congratulations again to Bill on passing his blue belt!
