March rounded out in triumphant style, when Sifu Francis Fong returned to give a series of seminars at Laurence Sandum’s Black Belt Martial Arts Academy in Chelmsford, for his third successive year.

Over the four day visit, Sifu Fong worked through his Wing Chun syllabus; starting from the very beginning and working up.

As per usual, the amount of valuable insight and inspiration I personally received from both Sifu Fong, and his assistant, Sihing Kevin Lee was invaluable.

After the four days of training, I was privileged enough to test for my green belt in Wing Chun under Sifu Fong, as one of the first four people in the UK to do so. After a pretty gruelling assessment, I am happy to say we all passed.

Thank you to Sifu Fong, and Sihing Kevin for travelling to the UK, to give such an excellent weekend of learning; I look forward to next year’s seminar dates being announced.
