My training in March got off to a bang when I again got to train with Gracie Jiu Jitsu Black Belt Dave Birkett at Laurence Sandum‘s Black Belt Martial Arts Academy in Chelmsford.

Over the course of three hours, Dave took me and the other participants through a variety of headlock defences; first some standing variations, then on the ground.

Thanks to Dave, and Wayne Rowlands who came to help out, for travelling to Chelmsford to give the session. I for one learnt a lot from it and am super excited for Dave’s next visit to the academy in April.

I would also like to say thank you to Guro Laurence Sandum for organising the afternoon happen; making sure we have top quality Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in Chelmsford.
